James, I love York too, but there was no time to take in the sights, it was heads down, all work. IT, Thanks for the comment re Bob Piper, I am naturally flattered he finds me interesting enough to write about. IstabulTory, Yes, Julian is Robert's son, a great chip off the old block. Jim, There were delays both ends of the journey, though I did manage to get a seat on my return trip for which I was thankful. However, on my outward journedy I had to stand and shared a crushed corridor with some great commuters and our high spirits ensured it was a reasonably pleasurable trip. Nemania, Obviously Julian is Conservative.
