Elizabeth became very close to our father over the last few years, until his death last christmas. He died of prostate cancer. She nursed him wonderfully through his final months and years, and I know she was deeply, deeply affected when he passed away, despite it being expected. My siblings and I had got to know Elizabeth in recent times, and she was unquestionably one of the most kind and generous people I have ever met. The news of her death has come as a huge shock, particularly in such horrific circumstances. My heart goes out to Elizabeth's own family, and in particular to little Pollyanna.
