Conrad Black’s £1,200 biography
Posted by Ellee on Jan 14, 2008 in updates | 5 commentsI know he’s a fascinating man, but why does the biography of
Conrad Black entitled Robber Baron: Lord Black of Crossharbour, by George Tombs cost a hefty £1,274.25 plus postage at Politicos where it is reduced from its normal price of £1,699?
I don’t imagine it will make the best sellers’ list at that price. So I have searched around the internet and deduced that it must be a misprint as I only need to cough up £8.49 at Amazon for exactly the same book where it is reduced from £16.99.
What’s the oddest misprint you have come across recently? And what’s the most you have ever paid for a book, or would be prepared to pay?

I wouldn’t pay a centesimo for that book. But I’d pay up to £100 for a book I really wanted.
I might have known Conrad was behind this. I’m sure you won’t sell out that quickly…
It ain’t a mis-print honey, it’s a rare signed copy, sure to go up in value, to help me pay for my legal expenses..
Hurry now, while stocks last..
I suppose his wife needs the cash
haha, how embarassing
