I caught the last few minutes where she said she takes no notice of CVs she reads, she wants to know what people can do here and now. I like that, but we all have our history too. Louis was so laid back and everyone wanted to ask him about Captain Corelli's Mandolin. He read an extract from his new book A Partisan's Daughter which I really enjoyed. I really liked him, he's his own man. I bought Affluenza by Oliver James. I share his beliefs about the need to encourage stronger family ties and parenthood, that our nation is too materialistic. Of course, my hero of the night was Sir David King, I would so love to be his Press Officer. I talked to him afterwards, he is so genuine and clever and I really admire everything he is doing. It was good to catch up with Tony Juniper too who I last saw at Wordfest a couple of years ago.
