What annoys the heck out of me is how many charities to which I donate annually or even semi-annually insist on sending me letters every month trying to solicit more. I just see this as a waste of money that I have already given. A couple send newsletters several times during the year and no doubt that is useful but the automatic generation every month is riduculous and if one more charity sends me personalized address labels I will scream. Unfortunately the amount of charities have now like the public sector grown out of all proportion to what can be financially either supported or maintained . I think we need to really have an in depth review across the board to make sure that charities are not simply replicating what others are doing and are actually necessary . Also of course its all too easy for central gov to offload what should be their responsibilities on worthy charities.
