What I long to see are people who speak properly and with some gravitas ( had enough of Blair pretending he didnt come from a top school and youd hardly figure that Samantha Camerons dad is a baronet with all the " you knows and like " In other words people who you can believe know what they are doing and if elected will be of the top rank in ability . Instead we have all the parties thinking that their candidates have to be like the people, no they dont they have to be far better than the rest of us , its a country they will be running not the Samaritans. If you had, you would realise that the image you see is not at all contrived; in fact, it's totally the opposite, and captured a very poignant moment. When a video is published, it randomly freezes three images, and one of them is used to front it, and this is what happened here; it's simply a randomly frozen imaage. Disaffected, I agree the videos are longer than what one normally sees, but I hope the viewer gets drawn into the 'story' behind them and learns more about Rob and the many issues he has campaigned on in his community. His supporters couldn't do enough to praise him from all walks of life, and I hope the high regard he is held in comes across, from the local cafe owner and barber, to the young architect and devoted head teacher. I found it very touching, especially as we are in an era when people are turned off by politics. I think Rob's presentation, and his girlfriend's, are both excellent. It's natural, it comes from the heart and is accomplished without being slick. Had Rob been a slick Alec, I'm sure you would have complained about that too! Its far too long by half and someone just sitting and sounding scared to death isnt appealing.I got bored with hearing Harlow . I cant understand how people with so little obvious ability to put themselves across to the public are being chosen as PPC by the parties. They really need to get used to public speaking and knowing how to excite people into wanting to know more about their views. Id have taken him on a bus ride around named town , making points at various stops, transport , jobs , businesses , community , crime , banks ! He could have got the passengers to join in !
