Like other bloggers, I am shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Mutley the Dog, whose ramblings verging on the absurb never failed to amuse. He was only 46.
His devastated partner Kate left a comment one of my previous posts this morning breaking the bad news:

I am so terribly sorry to break this news:
Rob, the author here on blogger of mutley the dog, and my beloved partner in life died peacefully in his sleep in the early hours last Friday, the 21st of May.
I would have preferred to email readers privately. That would have been best, I know. So sorry. Simply it is this – I am heart-broken.
At some near time I will post properly, as Rob would wish – a celebration!

I never really knew you Mutley, but I could tell you had a good heart and you never failed to make me smile, and you will be missed by many. You were unique and I hope you rest in peace.
I sincerely send my sympathies to Mutley’s children and loved ones.

He was a beautiful spirit, with an endless non-judgemental, kind friend to anyone that needed a hug.

Philipa, Sam (his son) is working on cracking the password but not having alot of luck. I expect that the blog will stay up forever and comments will continue. A few non-net people are reading.
