Ellee started writing her first regular newspaper column at the age of 16 and trained as a cub reporter with EMAP and qualified as a journalist with the National Council for the Training of Journalists. She worked on newspapers in the Eastern Region and one of her articles is included in The Newspaper Handbook, a training guide for journalism students, as an example of best practice.
- Bid writing for charities
Ellee is chair of trustees for Headway Cambridgeshire, a charity which provides rehabilitation for brain injured adults, and has an excellent understanding of the challenges charities face under the current economic and political climate. Headway has successfully bid for tens of thousands of pounds from trusts and lottery funding in recent years and this is a new service which ProActive PR is providing to help them thrive.

Ellee has studied at a postgraduate level and a distinction for a postgraduate certificate from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge for Applied Social Science Research Methods. She has also studied at postgraduate level for a PR Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

ProActive PR can provide high resolution digital photographs for clients to use in publications, their website or with press releases. Ellee has taken many photographs for publication in the Cambridge News and used to develop her own black and white images as a hobby.

Ellee was the ghost writer for Being The Soham Psychic published by top publishing house Headline in September 2009 which reached No 1 on Amazon for True Crime and Murder. She has since assisted an unpublished author by writing a book proposal for her manuscript and securing the interest of a leading London literary agent, as well as personally gaining the support of the UK’s prestigious dress designer Bruce Oldfield who has agreed to write a foreword which will considerably help raise its profile.

- Political consultancy and public affairs
ProAcitve PR represents a Conservative Euro MP and was the Conservative Eastern Region Press Consultant during the 2005 General Election, 2009 Euro Election, and worked with Conservative candidates during the 2010 General Election. ProActive PR has an excellent understanding of the political process and recently assisted a national PR agency as their political consultant following a strategy launch for future care homes in the House of Lords where speakers included the Rt Hon Stephen Dorrell, chair of the Parliamentary Health Select Committee, Baroness Sally Greengross and Baroness Julia Neuberger.

ProActive PR thinks of newspaper headlines when it writes press releases and makes personal calls to journalists to bring it to their attention to ensure that coverage is achieved wherever possible in targeted media outlets. It subscribes to a national media database which lists every UK publication and trade journal, and has tailor made media lists for clients seeking coverage in Europe and North America.
- Public relations campaigns and strategies
ProActive PR has worked successfully with clients to prepare media strategies and promote campaigns, including cutting edge projects developed by plant research scientists at NIAB and local authorities in Cambridgeshire and their recycling campaigns. The latter includes gaining the endorsement of two Environment Secretaries, the support of girl band Atomic Kitten and one of the UK’s best loved actresses Prunella Scales who launched a Slim Your Bin roadshow in Bar Hill, Cambridgeshire. ProActive PR can provide personal training and has achieved many successes from using social media tools over the last five years, using these personal experiences to assist clients. Ellee writes a blog which is archived by the British Library and it has been featured in the Guardian, on the Andrew Marr Politics Show, BBC News 24 and recommended on Radio 4 Woman’s Hour.
Ellee has used Twitter to gain the attendance of a BBC Newsround film crew at a medical conference she was promoting and has a strong national social media following. She can also advise on using Facebook as a communications tool.
ProActive PR can provide content for promotional blog posts and promote them via the internet. We are currently working with an award winning digital viral media agency in London and write sponsored posts for clients, including the internet bank First Direct, NSPCC, Nescafe and the Met Police, achieving No 1 Google ranking in some cases.

ProActive PR can record, edit and publish videos on YouTube. Recent clients include a Cambridge inventor to promote his product globally, a fire safety strobe light, as well as the NFU, Abbeyfield Homes, a Cambridgeshire spa and many Conservative politicians.

Ellee is a Competent Communicator at Cambridge Toastmasters having and, can advise on speech writing and presentations as public speaking is said to be more feared than death itself.
- Website content management and blog posts
Ellee was the project manager for the website of Robert Sturdy MEP and manages the content for him. She also regularly updated the content for the Conservative Eastern Region Euro Election campaign website.
