I popped into PC World with my birthday money yesterday looking for a flatscreen monitor to replace my jumbo desktop Dell dinosaur which stretches from the front of my desk to the wall and came away with this little dream machine.
Not being a tekkie, I assumed I would just plug it in and the TV would work automatically too. But it is fabulous and great not to have to screw up my eyes to read the screen. What do you think, did I make a wise choice?
Ooh, 20″ flat screen. Nice – I’m quite envious.
This is the only review I could find.
I’m envious too! I also want to be wherever that picture is on your screen!
As a “techie”, I can say probably yes. LG stuff is very good. Half the flat panels in the world are made by LG, although they can’t tell you who for.
I don’t shop in PC World much. Not as cheap as online guys, and not as good service as John Lewis.
There’s also a review at http://www.omnitech.co.il/Viewsonic/awards/VX202.html where they rate the Viewsonic higher, but it points out that the LG has more inputs and built in speakers. Spending a little more to get futureproofing is a good idea.
And happy birthday!
yes!
happy birthday!
So far so good, the large screen is great. Glad to hear from Tim that LG is well rated.
Thanks for the review Croydonian, I don’t see how you can fault it, except it was probably a bit pricey, but a girl has to treat herself once in a while.
It is lovely and as you say, a girl needs the odd treat !
Well done you
Suzy
