Congratulations to the internet bank first direct for topping the 2010 Which? table for providing the best customer service out of 75 big household names, including John Lewis, Boots and House of Fraser.
I linked to first direct a couple of months ago when they highlighted their Buddy app and spoof videos to demonstrate how they go the extra mile to help customers.
The bank has now been rewarded with this high accolade following the results of the latest Which? survey which awarded them with 5 stars for making their customers feel valued, product knowledge, communication skills, and the way they dealt with issues. Their staff must be thrilled that overall first direct scored 89% for its superb customer service.
It’ good to end the year with a positive story about banking. And as the Which? headline says, “Who Cares Wins”.
Pity the other banks do not see the need to follow suit.
It would be nice to think they will set a precedent but I doubt it!
