My 18-year-old son gets to vote for the first time next month on how our future MPs should be elected. This Conservative Party video – which supports retaining the present first-past-the-post system – uses the analogy of an AV sports day to demonstrate what can happen if the alternative method is adopted; how coming third means you can end up the winner.
No voting system is perfect, but I believe our present way is the simplest and does not need to be changed.
I wonder which system the Cons use to elect their leader?
