I enjoyed David Cameron’s confident and decisive performance on Andrew Marr’s Sunday morning politics show today, and the unexpected revelation he used to play footie with Chris Evans, who was also appearing on the show.
Evans was goalkeeper while Cameron was an orange bib wearing striker for an opposing team; they shared friends in common and would meet up to kick a ball about together in Avondale Park Gardens, Notting Hill.
Evans, who steps into Wogan’s hot seat tomorrow on the Radio 2 breakfast show, said Cameron had been pretty good. No surprises then that he is now a sure-footed political striker who is manoeuvring towards victory in the next general election!
I wonder who else made up the numbers with this dynamic due when they met up on Wednesdays for a game of footie? Were there any team pics?
That would have been an unusual assortment.
Hmm anyone who played on the same football pitch as me generally lost their kneecaps
I’m only interested in Camerons policies and am concerened that any promises are pie crust.
