I’ve been enjoying my friend Richard Havers’ latest timely book, Political Boll**ks imagewhich takes a sideways look at some of the amusing/sublime/ridiculous things our politicians say.

I like this quote from John Prescott: “I’m told some Tory MPs believe ethics is a county near Middlesex.”

IMG_1572 Hmmmm……he can talk about ethics, he’s the one who somehow got lost – and blindly stumbled into another woman’s arms!

I hope if Richard writes a second edition, he will include a clip from yesterday’s ludicrous, far-fetched story in The Telegraph about Nadine Dorries and her friendship with a local BBC presenter who is standing in Luton South as an Independent candidate against our terrific guy there, Nigel Huddleston, who Nadine is naturally actively supporting. It is the seat where Esther Rantzen, another Independent, is standing, who says she suspects “foul play”.

So do I Esther, but not the kind you is thinking of! Do read this post on ConservativeHome to find out the reasons why.

Richard’s book can be ordered from this link at Amazon.
