Tickets are still available if you are able to join me for the launch of The Royal Station Master’s Daughters in Love, the final book in The Royal Station Master’s Daughters trilogy, at King’s Lynn library on Saturday, 27 April. This is the closest town to where my stories are set on the royal Sandringham estate and I was assisted with my research by one of the library’s most knowledgeable assistants, Kevin Hitchcock.

I very much would like this to be a community event as people in the area contacted me following my letter in the local press asking for families to share stories they had going back to WWI, the Gallopili campaign and ill-fated Sandringham Company, which in turn inspired some of my story lines set in the historic town of King’s Lynn, a town where I once lived and worked as a journalist on the Lynn News & Advertiser.

Wolferton royal station master, Harry Saward, was one of a kind. He regularly rubbed shoulders with royalty between 1884-1924. He lived at Wolferton with his wife, Sarah, and three daughters, who are the key characters in my books.

I would like to thank everyone who helped with my research, with a special shout out to Kevin, as well as Richard Brown, owner of Wolferton Station, and Ben Colson, who lives in the Royal Retiring Rooms, for their wonderful support.
