The most stylish guest at the royal wedding – Miriam Clegg

Hats off to Miriam Clegg, Nick Clegg’s Spanish lawyer wife, (or Miriam González Durántez – as she prefers to be called), who I thought was the most stylish guest at today’s royal wedding – after the beautiful bride, of course.  Miriam normally looks quite frumpish, but she is utterly stunning and exotic in this gorgeous creation, which is both feminine and sexy, as well as ultra smart. Never mind Kate Middleton’s wedding dress designer, surely everyone wants to know where this outfit come from.

Who caught your eye at the wedding, and why?

  1. I loved loved loved Miriam’s outfit. I thought that this is the sort of outfit that only certain sort of women can wear with elegance. The outfit is very daring and flamboyant, still so different, classy, refreshing and sexy. The head-piece and make-up are wonderful, as they really suit her face and she looks stunning. Something completely original that already has myriad fans! She and Nick make a terrific couple.

I thought Pippa looked terrific, elegant, sexy and fresh in that white dress at the wedding. She has a great figure and the dress really highlights all her nice bits. I thought that Zara Phillips’s headpiece really suited her face and she looked very pretty.

Letizia of Spain is always uber-elegant and trendy, still understated, and I also loved her outfit. It is funny, how different in style they are both Spaniards in this list! Like white and night

Cameron’s wife, was, to me, quintessential boring, un-glamourous and not elegant, no matter she is wearing Burberry. This is the sort of dress that a normal girl would wear at work when you have a light cocktail afterwards, not appropriate for a wedding at all, not to say for a royal wedding! I’m quite surprised at finding her in the list of most elegant women. The colour of the dress is beautiful, but that is the only thin nice about her outfit.

Chelsy, well, she looks like a party naughty girl in that dress…

I felt for the two horrific sisters’ outfits. It must be terrible had having to deal with being in the worst dressed list of the world! They really need a stylist for events like this.

  2. I agree – Miriam looked great. I thought Princess Anne looked good, too.

  3. Definitely was she one stylish woman in the wedding. I like the style. The Royal wed was one great event that happened all over the world! =)

  4. disaffected

Hes definately not a Tory .

  5. The bride, the bridesmaid and the queen. They were all very stylish, and always will be.

They all wore smart clothing that allows the personality to show through rather than trying to keep up in the latest trends in clothing. Following the latest clothing trends detracts from the person and their personality…

  6. electro-kevin

Sam Cam caught my eye at the wedding.

If she felt a bit out of place then that’s because she deserved to.

DC can agonise all he wants over setting the right tone in matters of a sartorial nature – but as “calm down, Dear” shows, the Left will find reason to hate you whatever you do. So don’t bother trying to impress them.

All he (and she) has managed to achieve is to get even more people wondering whether he’s a Tory or not.
