A day in York

I’m spending the day with Julian Sturdy in York, discussing our campaign for his parliamentary seat in York Outer which he will contest as a Conservative candidate. We hope to build on our success from the recent council elections when Conservatives won eight seats.

  1. Jean-Luc, alienate voters?
I thought aliens voted conservative anyway.

Why is it that so many ‘alien’ brits vote tory.
Is it for the same reason that a semi-majority of the french voted for that foreigner sarkosy?

  2. Good luck with that meeting.

In response to Snafu, the Conservatives need to be careful they do not alienate voters with their anti-grammer school policy.

  3. Yes, the local election results in York Outer make it look a viable option for the Tories. I still kind had the LDs as odds on favorites to win next time, but I have revised my opinion now.

  4. I hope that Mr Sturdy is successful in building a strong campaign team for the next election. I further hope that he is opposed to exempting MPs from freedom of information legislation.

  5. I am sure many ambitious middle class voters will be delighted that the Conservative Party no longer supports Grammar schools!
